About the High Commission of Canada in Tanzania
The Canadian High Commission in Dar es Salaam is Canada’s resident diplomatic and consular mission in Tanzania.
Canada and Tanzania established diplomatic relations in 1961 following Tanzania’s independence. The two countries cooperate in areas including development, trade, education, gender equality, climate action and regional peace and security.
The High Commission also provides Canadian consular services for Comoros and Seychelles and retains regional service responsibilities involving Zambia.
