About the Embassy of Canada to Thailand
The Canadian Embassy in Bangkok is Canada’s resident diplomatic mission in Thailand.
Canada and Thailand maintain longstanding diplomatic relations covering trade, investment, security, education, development, human rights and regional cooperation in the Indo-Pacific.
Canada appointed its first ambassador to Thailand in 1961, and the Embassy of Canada to Thailand was established in Bangkok in 1967.

Citizenship services

Notarial services
The embassy provides selected notarial services by appointment, including certified copies, witnessing signatures and certain authentication services.
Marriage abroad
The embassy cannot perform, witness or register a marriage, but it can notarize the affidavit that may be required for a marriage in Thailand.
Emergency assistance
Canadian citizens requiring urgent assistance can contact the embassy during business hours. Emergency consular assistance is available 24 hours a day through Canada’s Emergency Watch and Response Centre.
