Passport services

Canadian passport applications can be submitted by mail or presented in person by appointment. Passport fees must be paid online.

Citizenship services

Eligible paper applications for proof of Canadian citizenship can be sent by courier to the Consular Section in Mexico City.

Notarial services

The embassy provides selected notarial services, including certified copies, signature certification, statutory declarations and apostilles for certain eligible Canadian documents.

General appointments are currently available Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Consular appointments

Consular services are currently available by appointment Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Passport applicants: Clients arriving at the embassy without an appointment to submit a passport application will not be attended.

Canadian passport services in Mexico City

The embassy accepts Canadian passport applications by mail and in person by appointment.

Apply by mail

Completed applications can be sent by courier to the Embassy of Canada, Consular Section – Passports, Calle Schiller No. 529, Colonia Polanco, 11560 Mexico City.

Apply in person

Book an appointment before presenting your passport application documents at the embassy. Applicants without an appointment are not accepted for in-person passport submission.

Returning your documents: Applicants living outside Mexico City can have their new passport and original documents returned by DHL, Estafeta or FedEx. Include your complete return mailing address with your application.

Child passports: Proof of parentage is required with every child passport application. If the document is not in English or French, a certified translation must also be provided.
