About the Embassy of Canada in Astana
The Canadian Embassy in Astana is Canada’s resident diplomatic mission in Kazakhstan and its principal diplomatic post for several countries in Central Asia.
Canada established diplomatic relations with Kazakhstan in 1992. The two countries cooperate on political, economic and multilateral issues, including nuclear non-proliferation.
The mission is headed by Christopher Duggan, Ambassador of Canada to Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
