About the High Commission of Canada in Brunei Darussalam

The Canadian High Commission in Bandar Seri Begawan is Canada’s resident diplomatic mission in Brunei Darussalam.

Canada established diplomatic relations with Brunei Darussalam in 1984 following Brunei’s independence. Canada opened its High Commission in Bandar Seri Begawan in 1995.

Canada and Brunei cooperate through bilateral relations as well as international and regional organizations including the Commonwealth, ASEAN-related forums, APEC and the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership.
