About the Embassy of Canada in Belgrade
The Canadian Embassy in Belgrade is Canada’s resident diplomatic mission in Serbia and also represents Canada in North Macedonia and Montenegro.
Canada and Serbia maintain political, economic and people-to-people relations, including cooperation on regional stability, trade and investment and Serbia’s integration with European institutions.
The Belgrade mission is also Canada’s principal embassy for North Macedonia and Montenegro.

The embassy provides passport, citizenship, notarial and other consular services for Canadian citizens.
Passport services
The embassy provides Canadian passport and travel document services. Contact the Consular Section before attending and pay applicable passport fees online before submitting an application.
Citizenship services
Eligible paper applications for proof of Canadian citizenship can be mailed to the embassy or deposited in the Consular Services drop box at the embassy entrance.
Notarial services
The embassy provides selected notarial services by mail or appointment, including certified copies, witnessing signatures, statutory declarations and eligible apostille-related services.
Marriage abroad
The embassy can assist with a statement in lieu of a certificate of non-impediment to marriage abroad when required by local authorities.
Emergency assistance
Canadian citizens requiring urgent assistance can contact the embassy during business hours. Emergency consular assistance is available 24 hours a day through Canada’s Emergency Watch and Response Centre.
Visa and immigration
Applications to visit, study, work or immigrate to Canada are handled through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada and its official application channels.

General appointments are currently available Monday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. On Friday, appointments are available from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Consular appointments
Consular services are currently available by appointment Monday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. On Friday, appointments are available from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Skopje: The Consulate of Canada in Skopje provides selected consular, notarial and passport services. Citizenship applications are handled through the Embassy of Canada in Belgrade.
