About the Burundi Embassy in Ottawa
The Embassy of the Republic of Burundi in Ottawa is Burundi’s resident diplomatic mission in Canada.
The embassy represents Burundi in its official relations with Canada and provides a direct point of contact between the Burundian government, Canadian authorities and the Burundian community in Canada.
The Ottawa embassy temporarily closed in January 2021. Burundi subsequently re-established its resident diplomatic presence in Canada, with the reopening of the embassy officially announced in May 2025.
