The Canadian Embassy in Cairo is Canada’s resident diplomatic mission in Egypt.

Passport appointments are currently available Sunday through Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Some routine passport applications can instead be submitted through the embassy drop box.

The embassy accepts eligible routine passport applications through a secure drop-box system. Certain applications, including replacements for lost, stolen or damaged passports and urgent cases, must be handled in person.

Routine applications

Completed eligible passport applications can be placed in the embassy drop box from Sunday to Wednesday between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., or on Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., except on public holidays.

Applications requiring an appointment

Lost, stolen or damaged passport cases must not be placed in the drop box. Contact the consular section to arrange an in-person appointment. Other specialized passport cases may also require personal attendance.
