About the High Commission of Canada in Trinidad and Tobago

The Canadian High Commission in Port of Spain is Canada’s resident diplomatic and consular mission in Trinidad and Tobago.

Canada and Trinidad and Tobago established official diplomatic relations on August 31, 1962, following the country’s independence. The relationship includes strong people-to-people ties as well as cooperation in trade, security, education, governance and regional affairs.

Monday to Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., walk-in.

Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., walk-in.

Saturday and Sunday: Closed.

Consular services

Monday to Thursday: 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., by appointment.

Friday: Closed for regular consular appointments.

Saturday and Sunday: Closed.

Passport applications can be submitted in person by appointment Monday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Use the drop box

The on-site drop box is currently available Monday to Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Mail or courier

Completed application packages can also be submitted by mail or courier. Include the online payment receipt with the application.

Payment: Passport fees must be paid online before the application is submitted.
