About the High Commission of Canada in Cameroon

The Canadian High Commission in Yaoundé is Canada’s resident diplomatic mission in Cameroon.

In addition to its bilateral role in Cameroon, the mission provides consular services to Canadians in Chad, the Central African Republic and Gabon.

Canada also maintains a separate consulate in Douala, which provides consular and general services in Cameroon.

Selected notarial services are available by appointment, including certified copies, witnessing signatures and certain document authentication services.

The mission provides official information for Canadians marrying abroad and can witness signatures on certain related consular documents.

Emergency assistance

Canadians requiring urgent consular assistance can contact the mission during business hours. Emergency assistance remains available 24 hours a day through the Government of Canada.

Applications to visit, study, work or immigrate to Canada are handled through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada and the official visa application process.
