About the Embassy of Canada to Mongolia
The Canadian Embassy in Ulaanbaatar is Canada’s resident diplomatic mission in Mongolia.
Canada and Mongolia established diplomatic relations in 1973. Canada opened its embassy in Ulaanbaatar in September 2008.
The two countries cooperate on political, economic, development and security issues. Mongolia’s relationship with Canada also forms part of its broader efforts to develop ties with democratic partners beyond its two immediate neighbours.
The mission is headed by Stephen Doust, Ambassador of Canada to Mongolia.

Passport services
Canadian citizens can book an appointment to present passport application documents in person. Applications received in Ulaanbaatar are forwarded to the Embassy of Canada in Beijing for processing.
Citizenship services
Eligible paper applications for a Canadian citizenship certificate can be submitted with the required supporting documents to the Consular Section of the embassy.
Notarial services
The embassy provides selected notarial services by appointment, including certified copies, witnessing signatures and certain authentication services.
Marriage abroad
Canadians planning to marry in Mongolia may need supporting documents including an affidavit concerning their marital status and other documents required by Mongolian authorities.
Emergency assistance
