Travel to Slovenia
Slovenia Visa Information for Canadian Travellers
Canadian citizens currently benefit from visa-free entry to Slovenia for qualifying short stays.
Canadian citizens do not require a short-stay visa to enter Slovenia.
Slovenia is part of the Schengen area. The standard Schengen short-stay rules apply to eligible visa-exempt Canadian travellers.
A visa exemption does not authorize residence or other activities requiring a separate immigration status. Foreign nationals intending to reside in Slovenia for a purpose not covered by the short-stay rules must obtain the appropriate residence authorization.
Applicants requiring a long-stay visa or residence permit should check the current Slovenian procedure and contact the appropriate diplomatic mission or consular post where required.
Canadian travellers: A short-stay visa is currently not required for Canadian citizens, but travellers should verify current Slovenian and Schengen entry requirements before departure.
